Work Permit – Canada
Description
Canadian Work Permit allows foreign nationals to legally live and work in Canada for a specific employer or under open work authorization. It is issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to individuals who meet eligibility requirements and have an approved job offer or qualifying permit category.
The work permit process may include employer approval (such as LMIA), submission of required documents, medical examinations, biometrics, and visa application. Applicants must provide valid identification, employment contracts, qualifications, and proof of funds where required.
Canada offers different types of work permits, including Employer-Specific Work Permits and Open Work Permits. Holding a valid work permit provides access to employment opportunities, Canadian labor protections, and potential pathways to permanent residence through programs such as Express Entry and Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs).
